New Year

Thank you to everyone who made the New Year go with a swing .

This year we had all the preparation in place early, then illness struck, first David had his operation for cancer in February , then cancer struck Karen in September, then John had to have a knew kneecap in November, then poor David had an operation on Christmas Eve, but the show had to go on, David, Karen ,& John, gave it their all, John & Mal rallied round possible doing too much, John ended up with a bad hip not sure if that was with all the dancing the first night, poor Mal came not feeling well and by New Year was still off colour. But regardless of this we had the best New Year ever food wise and entertainment according to the ralliers. Phil and Sandra Help serve the food and assisted when needed, which made the work load lighter. Beryl rushed around doing the tables helping David, they really are big buddies. The tables looked great and perfectly laid.
Harriet was knee deep in vegetables. The list worked well this year everyone did a job, right down to Terry our refuge man thank you to all the helpers.

The sad news poor Terry missed his New Year through illness, what’s even worse John was creeping round Denise Johnson the artist getting signed picture’s. Get well soon Terry! It was great to see Lynne enjoying herself at New Year after having Christmas spoilt with Terry being ill.

31st December Jill Daniels sang the New Year in, first time ever on New Year’s Eve has an artist given a full night of entertainment, and she even joined in with her family.
